what’s ur handle (2021) explored online avatars as a tool of resistance through the work of five contemporary artists including Emma Stern, Fabiola Larios, Emily Mulenga, Lena Chen, and Tabita Rezaire. I observed that these artists create personas who combat the way female bodies are valued in digital media, and how female representations affect gender performance in real life. Through a variety of mediums the exhibition and project, which included an exhibition catalogue, challeneged viewers to consider the stresses and oppressions of women's bodies online and how that shapes women in society.
