Fuentes is currently the Programs & Curatorial Manager at The New York Art Residency & Studios (NARS) Foundation in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

She received her BA in Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) while working at Mandeville Art Gallery, a long-standing fixture on the campus with a decades-long history of exhibiting pioneering artists and artwork. In 2021, she completed her MA in Curatorial Practice at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She has since held roles in exhibition-making, art administration, programming, grant management, and curatorial research with organizations including The New Children’s Museum, New York Art Conservation, The Queens Museum, VIA Art Fund, New York Artists Equity Association, Equity Gallery, and the American Federation of Arts. She maintains her practice as a ceramic artist, making work at a not‑for‑profit creative production center and community studio in Brooklyn, Powerhouse Arts (PHA).

Her research interests include post-modernist contemporary art and theory, performance studies, land art, and social practice. Fuentes approaches exhibition-making from an art historical lens and sees it as a pedagogical tool for public education, a playful site for information exchange, and an important social resource for storytelling.
